Probably not the most ambitious of tasks, but poaching an egg is a skill I have yet to master.
I’ve tried and tried again. And once it worked, but then the next one was a flop. I’ve tried drops of vinegar, gently swirling the water, ensuring the water isn’t vigorously boiling… but alas, a web of egg white is all I have to show for it!

Update: Thanks to Jamie Oliver’s foolproof egg-poaching hack, I have now successfully poached an egg!
